More than 80,000 respondents, reflecting the profile of the American Household Shopper, determined the 2015 BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards winners through their "top of mind" responses for 101 categories in which they purchase.

The open-text responses and reasons for trusting those brands were analyzed by BrandSpark researchers and the Most Trusted brands were ranked based on the greatest volume of mentions. When the difference between leading brands in a category were less than the margin-of-error at 95% confidence, ties were declared.
